- Jeremiah 24 26:15 - But know ye for certain , that if ye put me to death , ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
אך ידע תדעו כי אמ־ממתים אתם אתי כי־דם נקי אתם נתנים עליכם ואל־העיר הזאת ואל־ישׁביה כי באמת שׁלחני יהוה עליכם לדבר באזניכם את כל־הדברים האלה - Jeremiah 24 26:11 - Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying , This man is worthy to die ; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.
ויאמרו הכהנים והנבאים אל־השׂרים ואל־כל־העם לאמר משׁפט־מות לאישׁ הזה כי נבא אל־העיר הזאת כאשׁר שׁמעתם באזניכם - 2 Samuel 10 11:25 - Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another : make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.
ויאמר דוד אל־המלאך כה־תאמר אל־יואב אל־ירע בעיניך את־הדבר הזה כי־כזה וכזה תאכל החרב החזק מלחמתך אל־העיר והרסה וחזקהו - Judges 7 20:11 - So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together as one man.
ויאסף כל־אישׁ ישׂראל אל־העיר כאישׁ אחד חברים - Isaiah 23 37:34 - By the way that he came , by the same shall he return , and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.
