- 1 Samuel 9 17:12 - Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah , whose name was Jesse ; and he had eight sons : and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.
ודוד בנ־אישׁ אפרתי הזה מבית לחם יהודה ושׁמו ישׁי ולו שׁמנה בנים והאישׁ בימי שׁאול זקן בא באנשׁים - Genesis 1 35:16 - And they journeyed from Bethel ; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath : and Rachel travailed , and she had hard labour .
ויסעו מבית אל ויהי־עוד כברת־הארץ לבוא אפרתה ותלד רחל ותקשׁ בלדתה - Genesis 1 35:19 - And Rachel died , and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

וילכד גלעד את־מעברות הירדן לאפרים והיה כי יאמרו פליטי אפרים אעברה ויאמרו לו אנשׁי־גלעד האפרתי אתה ויאמר לא - Ruth 8 1:2 - And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah . And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.
