- 1 Samuel 9 25:10 - And Nabal answered David's servants, and said , Who is David ? and who is the son of Jesse ? there be many servants now a days that break away every man from his master.
ויען נבל את־עבדי דוד ויאמר מי דוד ומי בנ־ישׁי היום רבו עבדים המתפרצים אישׁ מפני אדניו - 1 Kings 11 12:16 - So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying , What portion have we in David ? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse : to your tents, O Israel : now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.
וירא כל־ישׂראל כי לא־שׁמע המלך אליהם וישׁבו העם את־המלך דבר לאמר מה־לנו חלק בדוד ולא־נחלה בבנ־ישׁי לאהליך ישׂראל עתה ראה ביתך דוד וילך ישׂראל לאהליו - 1 Chronicles 13 29:26 - Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
ודויד בנ־ישׁי מלך על־כל־ישׂראל דָּוִד David David בֵּן son Afflicted, age, (Ahoh-.. יִשַׁי Jesse מָלַךְ Consult, × indeed, be (.. [8804] יִשְׂרָאֵל Israel - 2 Samuel 10 20:1 - And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite : and he blew a trumpet, and said , We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse : every man to his tents, O Israel.
ושׁם נקרא אישׁ בליעל ושׁמו שׁבע בנ־בכרי אישׁ ימיני ויתקע בשׁפר ויאמר אינ־לנו חלק בדוד ולא נחלה־לנו בבנ־ישׁי אישׁ לאהליו ישׂראל - 1 Samuel 9 20:31 - For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established , nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die .
כי כל־הימים אשׁר בנ־ישׁי חי על־האדמה לא תכון אתה ומלכותך ועתה שׁלח וקח אתו אלי כי בנ־מות הוא
