- 1 Chronicles 13 25:1 - Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals : and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
ויבדל דויד ושׂרי הצבא לעבדה לבני אסף והימן וידותון הנביאים בכנרות בנבלים ובמצלתים ויהי מספרם אנשׁי מלאכה לעבדתם - 2 Samuel 10 6:5 - And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
ודוד וכל־בית ישׂראל משׂחקים לפני יהוה בכל עצי ברושׁים ובכנרות ובנבלים ובתפים ובמנענעים ובצלצלים - 2 Chronicles 14 5:12 - Also the Levites which were the singers , all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets :>
והלוים המשׁררים לכלם לאסף להימן לידתון ולבניהם ולאחיהם מלבשׁים בוץ במצלתים ובנבלים וכנרות עמדים מזרח למזבח ועמהם כהנים למאה ועשׂרים מחצררים בחצצרות - Leviticus 3 11:36 - Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean : but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean .
אך מעין ובור מקוה־מים יהיה טהור ונגע בנבלתם יטמא - Psalms 19 144:9 - I will sing a new song unto thee, O God : upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
