- 1 Samuel 9 4:11 - And the ark of God was taken ; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain .
וארון אלהים נלקח ושׁני בני־עלי מתו חפני ופינחס - 1 Samuel 9 4:4 - So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims : and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
וישׁלח העם שׁלה וישׂאו משׁם את ארון ברית־יהוה צבאות ישׁב הכרבים ושׁם שׁני בני־עלי עמ־ארון ברית האלהים חפני ופינחס - 1 Chronicles 13 9:20 - And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.
ופינחס בנ־אלעזר נגיד היה עליהם לפנים יהוה עמו - 1 Samuel 9 4:17 - And the messenger answered and said , Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead , and the ark of God is taken .
ויען המבשׂר ויאמר נס ישׂראל לפני פלשׁתים וגם מגפה גדולה היתה בעם וגמ־שׁני בניך מתו חפני ופינחס וארון האלהים נלקחה - Judges 7 20:28 - And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days,> saying , Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease ? And the LORD said , Go up ; for to morrow I will deliver them into thine hand.
ופינחס בנ־אלעזר בנ־אהרן עמד לפניו בימים ההם לאמר האוסף עוד לצאת למלחמה עמ־בני־בנימן אחי אמ־אחדל ויאמר יהוה עלו כי מחר אתננו בידך
