- 2 Kings 12 15:13 - Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah ; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
שׁלום בנ־יבישׁ מלך בשׁנת שׁלשׁים ותשׁע שׁנה לעזיה מלך יהודה וימלך ירח־ימים בשׁמרון - 1 Samuel 9 11:9 - And they said unto the messengers that came , Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabeshgilead , To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh ; and they were glad .
ויאמרו למלאכים הבאים כה תאמרון לאישׁ יבישׁ גלעד מחר תהיה־לכם תשׁועה בחם השׁמשׁ ויבאו המלאכים ויגידו לאנשׁי יבישׁ וישׂמחו - 2 Samuel 10 21:12 - And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead , which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa :
וילך דוד ויקח את־עצמות שׁאול ואת־עצמות יהונתן בנו מאת בעלי יבישׁ גלעד אשׁר גנבו אתם מרחב בית־שׁן אשׁר תלום שׁם הפלשׁתים ביום הכות פלשׁתים את־שׁאול בגלבע - Judges 7 21:12 - And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male : and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.
וימצאו מיושׁבי יבישׁ גלעד ארבע מאות נערה בתולה אשׁר לא־ידעה אישׁ למשׁכב זכר ויביאו אותם אל־המחנה שׁלה אשׁר בארץ כנען - 1 Samuel 9 31:11 - And when the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead heard of that which the Philistines had done to Saul ;
וישׁמעו אליו ישׁבי יבישׁ גלעד את אשׁר־עשׂו פלשׁתים לשׁאול
