- Deuteronomy 5 9:3 - Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face : so shalt thou drive them out , and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
וידעת היום כי יהוה אלהיך הוא־העבר לפניך אשׁ אכלה הוא ישׁמידם והוא יכניעם לפניך והורשׁתם והאבדתם מהר כאשׁר דבר יהוה לך - Deuteronomy 5 2:21 - A people great, and many, and tall , as the Anakims ; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
עם גדול ורב ורם כענקים וישׁמידם יהוה מפניהם ויירשׁם וישׁבו תחתם - 2 Samuel 10 14:11 - Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember the LORD thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more , lest they destroy my son. And he said , As the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.
ותאמר יזכר־נא המלך את־יהוה אלהיך מהרבית גאל הדם לשׁחת ולא ישׁמידו את־בני ויאמר חי־יהוה אמ־יפל משׂערת בנך ארצה - Deuteronomy 5 2:12 - The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime ; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them.
ובשׂעיר ישׁבו החרים לפנים ובני עשׂו יירשׁום וישׁמידום מפניהם וישׁבו תחתם כאשׁר עשׂה ישׂראל לארץ ירשׁתו אשׁר־נתן יהוה להם - Isaiah 23 13:9 - Behold, the day of the LORD cometh , cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate : and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
הנה יומ־יהוה בא אכזרי ועברה וחרון אף לשׂום הארץ לשׁמה וחטאיה ישׁמיד ממנה
