- Jeremiah 24 3:8 - And I saw , when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away , and given her a bill of divorce ; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
וארא כי על־כל־אדות אשׁר נאפה משׁבה ישׂראל שׁלחתיה ואתן את־ספר כריתתיה אליה ולא יראה בגדה יהודה אחותה ותלך ותזן גמ־היא - Isaiah 23 10:7 - Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
והוא לא־כן ידמה ולבבו לא־כן יחשׁב כי להשׁמיד בלבבו ולהכרית גוים לא מעט - 1 Samuel 9 24:21 - Swear now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father's house.
ועתה השׁבעה לי ביהוה אמ־תכרית את־זרעי אחרי ואמ־תשׁמיד את־שׁמי מבית אבי - Isaiah 23 48:9 - For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off .

[8687] - Jeremiah 24 44:7 - Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel ; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling , out of Judah, to leave you none to remain ;
