- Nehemiah 16 5:15 - But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver ; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people : but so did not I, because of the fear of God.
והפחות הראשׁנים אשׁר־לפני הכבידו על־העם ויקחו מהם בלחם ויין אחר כספ־שׁקלים ארבעים גם נעריהם שׁלטו על־העם ואני לא־עשׂיתי כן מפני יראת אלהים - Esther 17 9:1 - Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution , in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them,
ובשׁנים עשׂר חדשׁ הוא־חדשׁ אדר בשׁלושׁה עשׂר יום בו אשׁר הגיע דבר־המלך ודתו להעשׂות ביום אשׁר שׂברו איבי היהודים לשׁלוט בהם ונהפוך הוא אשׁר ישׁלטו היהודים המה בשׂנאיהם - Ecclesiastes 21 8:4 - Where the word of a king is, there is power : and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

ואמר מלכא והיתיו גבריא אלך די־אכלו קרצוהי די דניאל ולגב אריותא רמו אנון בניהון ונשׁיהון ולא־מטו לארעית גבא עד די־שׁלטו בהון אריותא וכל־גרמיהון הדקו - Ecclesiastes 21 8:8 - There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit ; neither hath he power in the day of death : and there is no discharge in that war ; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
