- Hosea 28 1:2 - The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go , take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms : for the land hath committed great whoredom , departing from the LORD.
תחלת דבר־יהוה בהושׁע ויאמר יהוה אל־הושׁע לך קח־לך אשׁת זנונים וילדי זנונים כי־זנה תזנה הארץ מאחרי יהוה - Isaiah 23 32:9 - Rise up , ye women that are at ease ; hear my voice, ye careless daughters ; give ear unto my speech.
נשׁים שׁאננות קמנה שׁמענה קולי בנות בטחות האזנה אמרתי - Jeremiah 24 2:20 - For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands ; and thou saidst , I will not transgress ; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest , playing the harlot .
כי מעולם שׁברתי עלך נתקתי מוסרתיך ותאמרי לא אעבד כי על־כל־גבעה גבהה ותחת כל־עץ רענן את צעה זנה - Hosea 28 4:15 - Though thou, Israel, play the harlot , yet let not Judah offend ; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear , The LORD liveth.
אמ־זנה אתה ישׂראל אל־יאשׁם יהודה ואל־תבאו הגלגל ואל־תעלו בית און ואל־תשׁבעו חי־יהוה - Deuteronomy 5 31:16 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers ; and this people will rise up , and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה הנך שׁכב עמ־אבתיך וקם העם הזה וזנה אחרי אלהי נכר־הארץ אשׁר הוא בא־שׁמה בקרבו ועזבני והפר את־בריתי אשׁר כרתי אתו
