- Numbers 4 7:40 - One kid of the goats for a sin offering :
שׂעיר־עזים אחד לחטאת אֶחָד A, alike, alone, altoge.. שָׂעִיר Devil, goat, hairy, kid.. עֵז (she) goat, kid חַטָּאָה Punishment (of sin), pu.. - Jeremiah 24 36:3 - It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way ; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
אולי ישׁמעו בית יהודה את כל־הרעה אשׁר אנכי חשׁב לעשׂות להם למען ישׁובו אישׁ מדרכו הרעה וסלחתי לעונם ולחטאתם - Ezekiel 26 3:20 - Again , When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die : because thou hast not given him warning , he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered ; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
ובשׁוב צדיק מצדקו ועשׂה עול ונתתי מכשׁול לפניו הוא ימות כי לא הזהרתו בחטאתו ימות ולא תזכרן צדקתו אשׁר עשׂה ודמו מידך אבקשׁ - Psalms 19 38:18 - For I will declare mine iniquity ; I will be sorry for my sin.
