- 1 Kings 11 8:48 - And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies , which led them away captive , and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen , and the house which I have built for thy name :
ושׁבו אליך בכל־לבבם ובכל־נפשׁם בארץ איביהם אשׁר־שׁבו אתם והתפללו אליך דרך ארצם אשׁר נתתה לאבותם העיר אשׁר בחרת והבית אשׁר־בנית לשׁמך - 1 Kings 11 8:33 - When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy , because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray , and make supplication unto thee in this house :
בהנגף עמך ישׂראל לפני אויב אשׁר יחטאו־לך ושׁבו אליך והודו את־שׁמך והתפללו והתחננו אליך בבית הזה - 1 Kings 11 8:35 - When heaven is shut up , and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
בהעצר שׁמים ולא־יהיה מטר כי יחטאו־לך והתפללו אל־המקום הזה והודו את־שׁמך ומחטאתם ישׁובון כי תענם - Jeremiah 24 42:2 - And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant ;
ויאמרו אל־ירמיהו הנביא תפל־נא תחנתנו לפניך והתפלל בעדנו אל־יהוה אלהיך בעד כל־השׁארית הזאת כי־נשׁארנו מעט מהרבה כאשׁר עיניך ראות אתנו - 1 Kings 11 13:6 - And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again . And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again , and became as it was before.
ויען המלך ויאמר אל־אישׁ האלהים חל־נא את־פני יהוה אלהיך והתפלל בעדי ותשׁב ידי אלי ויחל אישׁ־האלהים את־פני יהוה ותשׁב יד־המלך אליו ותהי כבראשׁנה
