- Joshua 6 18:9 - And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh.
וילכו האנשׁים ויעברו בארץ ויכתבוה לערים לשׁבעה חלקים על־ספר ויבאו אל־יהושׁע אל־המחנה שׁלה - Isaiah 23 40:9 - O Zion, that bringest good tidings , get thee up into the high mountain ; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings , lift up thy voice with strength ; lift it up , be not afraid ; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God !
על הר־גבה עלי־לך מבשׂרת ציון הרימי בכח קולך מבשׂרת ירושׁלם הרימי אל־תיראי אמרי לערי יהודה הנה אלהיכם - Numbers 4 32:33 - And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.
ויתן להם משׁה לבני־גד ולבני ראובן ולחצי שׁבט מנשׁה בנ־יוסף את־ממלכת סיחן מלך האמרי ואת־ממלכת עוג מלך הבשׁן הארץ לעריה בגבלת ערי הארץ סביב - Isaiah 23 44:26 - That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers ; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited ; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built , and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
מקים דבר עבדו ועצת מלאכיו ישׁלים האמר לירושׁלם תושׁב ולערי יהודה תבנינה וחרבותיה אקומם - 2 Chronicles 14 24:5 - And he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out unto the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that ye hasten the matter. Howbeit the Levites hastened it not.
