- 1 Samuel 9 11:10 - Therefore the men of Jabesh said , To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.
ויאמרו אנשׁי יבישׁ מחר נצא אליכם ועשׂיתם לנו ככל־הטוב בעיניכם - 1 Kings 11 20:31 - And his servants said unto him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings : let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel : peradventure he will save thy life.
ויאמרו אליו עבדיו הנה־נא שׁמענו כי מלכי בית ישׂראל כי־מלכי חסד הם נשׂימה נא שׂקים במתנינו וחבלים בראשׁנו ונצא אל־מלך ישׂראל אולי יחיה את־נפשׁך - 1 Samuel 9 20:11 - And Jonathan said unto David, Come , and let us go out into the field. And they went out both of them into the field.
