- Genesis 1 11:3 - And they said one to another, Go to , let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
ויאמרו אישׁ אל־רעהו הבה נלבנה לבנים ונשׂרפה לשׂרפה ותהי להם הלבנה לאבן והחמר היה להם לחמר - Jeremiah 24 21:10 - For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD : it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.
כי שׂמתי פני בעיר הזאת לרעה ולא לטובה נאמ־יהוה ביד־מלך בבל תנתן ושׂרפה באשׁ - Jeremiah 24 37:8 - And the Chaldeans shall come again , and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.
