- Proverbs 20 27:14 - He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.
מברך רעהו בקול גדול בבקר השׁכים קללה תחשׁב לו - 2 Samuel 10 15:2 - And Absalom rose up early , and stood beside the way of the gate : and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said , Of what city art thou? And he said , Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
והשׁכים אבשׁלום ועמד על־יד דרך השׁער ויהי כל־האישׁ אשׁר־יהיה־לו־ריב לבוא אל־המלך למשׁפט ויקרא אבשׁלום אליו ויאמר אי־מזה עיר אתה ויאמר מאחד שׁבטי־ישׂראל עבדך - Job 18 1:5 - And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about , that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said , It may be that my sons have sinned , and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
ויהי כי הקיפו ימי המשׁתה וישׁלח איוב ויקדשׁם והשׁכים בבקר והעלה עלות מספר כלם כי אמר איוב אולי חטאו בני וברכו אלהים בלבבם ככה יעשׂה איוב כל־הימים - Jeremiah 24 35:15 - I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying , Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers : but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
ואשׁלח אליכם את־כל־עבדי הנבאים השׁכים ושׁלח לאמר שׁבו־נא אישׁ מדרכו הרעה והיטיבו מעלליכם ואל־תלכו אחרי אלהים אחרים לעבדם ושׁבו אל־האדמה אשׁר־נתתי לכם ולאבתיכם ולא הטיתם את־אזנכם ולא שׁמעתם אלי - Jeremiah 24 44:4 - Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying , Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate .
